Kate and Christopher Rhoads are the first couple of the 2021 Fall and Winter season, and it’s hard to contain my excitement. While Bakersfield is still pretty warm, I’ve found that most of my friends are happily pretending fall is in full swing.

With the holidays coming up around the corner, there is no better time to get some updated photos for your walls! Kate and Christopher really brought their A-game to their session. Between the sunset, the colors of Riverwalk Park, and their newlywed glow, you could say it was a dream session to photograph.

They have been married for only a few months, and it has been an absolute joy getting to know them. Kate has become one of my very best friends over the past few months. I am beyond thankful for the joy she has brought to my days. She is smart, beautiful, hilarious, and so many other things. My favorite thing about her has to be the way she talks about Christopher. To hear a wife speak so highly of her husband is refreshing and encouraging. She’s told me so many things about Christopher that she loves, and the little things he does every day to show her he loves her. She chooses to see the good in marriage daily, and what an encouragement this has been in my life! What a sweet life it is when you focus on the happy moments.

While I don’t know Christopher as well as Kate from personal conversations, I have heard plenty about him from her many chats. One thing I do know is he is a perfect compliment for her. I love these photos because they show how well these two fit together. They have to be one of the most stunning couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
