Fall is such a fun season, and my favorite part of fall is the gathering of family for Thanksgiving. It was great to be able to photograph an extended family session the week of Thanksgiving for the Palmers while they were all in town together. I’ve known Rod and Margaret Palmer for as long as I can remember–Mrs. Margaret was my Sunday school teacher growing up! To say I was excited to meet her kids and grandkids was an understatement. Her family is so, so sweet, and what fun it was in the crisp, Bakersfield air to take these photos.
Between the giggles of the kids, the sun behind the trees, and the cool weather outside, it was a beautiful morning at Riverwalk Park. The kids even got gifts partway through the session which made for a special surprise!
To the Palmer Family: thank you for letting me be a part of your family gathering! It was wonderful to meet you all in person to put personalities to the Facebook posts I’m always seeing Mrs. Margaret share. I hope you all love these images and hold them dear like the precious memories used to make them.
Sarah,
These turned out so very fun! I love the expressions you were able catch. We are a family that likes to laugh and have fun. Can’t wait to see them all! Thank you!
