There’s nothing quite like scheduling a session only to wake up that morning to find rain on the forecast at the scheduled time. It doesn’t happen often in Bakersfield, and while I love the rain, it’s always so inconvenient. I was so thankful the Petersons were flexible to move the session up a bit. It was a perfectly cool temperature outside, the clouds were present, and there was a slight mist in the air. Justine is a dear friend from church who also happens to live in my neighborhood, so I adored taking these pictures. Her oldest son, Luke, is older than my son, Jensen, so I look to him to see what Jensen might be like one day. If Jensen is anything like Luke, I can’t wait for the toddler stage! Luke is a true boy who wanted to play in the dirt so badly during the session. It was adorable. He smiled when it was time to smile, ran when he was permitted to run, and seemingly had a good time being outside.
