Hart Park is always a sweet place for photos here in Bakersfield. While it was pretty chilly outside this particular day, the Grissom family braved the air for the portraits. It was a joy to see the dynamic of their family play out in their interactions with one another. Laurie is truly the rock of the family. The smiles sent her way were sincere and filled with adoration. She just lost her beloved husband, so this session was really important. I won’t say much as this is not my story, but I will say that Laurie is a strong, beautiful, and brave woman. It was my pleasure to photograph her family.
