Joyful Church Wedding | Cathy + Jeff

Weddings, Engagements, + Proposals

Marriage is one of God’s sweetest gifts, and when two worthy people commit to each other in this way, the celebration is always a blessing. Cathy and Jeff are two people who have independently lived such God-honoring lives. My mom is friends with Cathy, and I’ve heard about her faithful service to her church and community for years. I would always listen intently as my mom gushed over Cathy’s love for truth, her gift of writing, and the way her testimony has been a light to those around her. My mom and so many others have been richly blessed to know such a godly woman. She has lived a faithful and single life that has been dedicated to furthering the Kingdom of Christ.

I didn’t know Jeff before his wedding day, but it was so lovely hearing about him from all the guests, from the pastors, and from conversations with him. He, too, has lived a life focused on the gospel. He was married to a wonderful woman whom he faithfully loved until she went to meet her Savior. He proved and lived the vows he made to her and the Lord, and he has been a beautiful example of what a husband should be. When Cathy and Jeff met, it was clear that the Lord was sovereignly over their lives coming together. I know for Cathy to find a man of God who has shown his character to be Christ-centered was a huge blessing. Both Jeff and Cathy spent part of their independent lives focused on missions around the globe. They even have writing in common as Jeff is a well-known Christian author! And for Jeff to find Cathy, a woman so focused on the Lord she continually pours into others, I know he is grateful. It was just a beautiful wedding to see such great people joining their lives. Everyone was smiling so big the entire day!

Jeff and Cathy, I hope you have loved your first month of marriage, and I am beyond humbled that I was able to photograph this special day for you. Thank you, Cathy, for the love and friendship you have shown my dear mom. I can’t wait to hear how the Lord uses your marriage.
