November is one of the best months to get married in Bakersfield. The weather is usually pretty even, and the air is cool. While we did get some rain on Audrey and Juan’s wedding day at the Sundale Country Club, owned by the Petroleum Club, I think the old wives tale is true–rain is good luck!
Audrey and Juan opted for a private vow reading instead of reading their vows in front of their guests. It was such a beautiful moment. Having that time before the ceremony to read vows to each other was a way for them to have an intimate moment together without doing a first look. Their wedding was dressed with fall oranges, yellows, and greens, rain clouds, and the surrounding golf course scenery. The sun set behind them at their ceremony and gave us the perfect window for their newlywed photos.
It was a joy to see their families come together. They both adore each others’ family, and everyone was crying at one point or another. The speeches hit home, the food was amazing, and the DJ kept the party moving all night. The dance floor actually shifted to the left as the night went on because they danced so well! This had to be one of the most fun receptions I’ve had the chance to photograph. They certainly knew how to celebrate a marriage!
Audrey and Juan, in this time I’ve gotten to know you, it is so evident you are a perfect match! It seems as if you’ve been together forever. I know you weren’t looking for love when you met, but fate really had a way of showing you what you needed. I’m so happy for you both, and I hope you love these images! Your wedding was truly magical.
