Friends!! This is a VERY special blog because it’s about two of my very favorite people. In high school, I was a proud choir nerd. In choir, I happened to meet this confident, funny, beautiful, and fiery girl named Jamie. Both of us were sopranos, and our friendship began there. We shared many a bus seat, sang duets together, and Jamie and I shared a dear mutual friend (shoutout to Abbi if she’s reading this!). Abbi, Jamie, and I would go on to live several adventures together from school dances to our weddings. We all live in different states now, so it’s rare we get to all be together. When Jamie asked me to take her maternity pictures and fly out to Nebraska to help with her baby shower, it seemed like a no brainer that Abbi would join us. I had a blast living my best midwest life for a few days with two of my best friends.

I’ve known Jon since high school as well, and since then, he and Jamie have grown into two amazing people. They make each other better, and they’re a great team. They’ve built a life together that is filled with joy and fun. It was great seeing both of them still so in love all these years later and to sight see their home and meet their friends. They will always be treasures in my life! I am better for knowing them, and I’m so grateful to call them both friends. Two side notes: our kids are going to besties–I just know it–and Nebraska is GORGEOUS. I definitely fell victim to that midwest charm. The green pastures and colorful sunsets were stunning.
