Snow! Would you believe there was SNOW in April only an hour outside of Bakersfield? I was in a state of disbelief when my friend Araya texted me the forecast for her wedding day when I saw there was a possibility of snow falling! It fell with the most wedding day magic I’ve ever seen. I mean, no one in this area expects a snowy wedding in April of all months–it was just stunning.

I’ve known Araya for years, and one of my brothers had the privilege of working alongside her for several years. She is the type of woman who holds confidence in who she is and makes everyone around her feel comfortable. I’ve always admired and looked up to her faith in Christ, her dedication to reaching our community, and her strength through trials. I am more than happy to know and love her. Meeting her now husband for the first time during our bridal consultation was quite fun. They giggle together so sweetly, and his quiet confidence fits well with who Araya is. He is kind, he is strong, and what I love most is that he loves Araya the way she deserves to be loved. She is a gem of a human being, and I have prayed she would find someone like Eduardo.

It was so sweet seeing their two families come together with all their friends on this snowy day in April. They got married at Sierra Christian Camp where we have all spent countless hours. It felt like a full circle moment in life, and you could feel the joy in each space.
